This was a great claim by the champion trainer as this horse has grown an extra leg (like most do) since joining the stable. With no stakes form but great works and a good draw, he never really looked like getting beat, running out a three-quarter length winner in the end. This one just adds to the pile of top horses in the stable, but such is the depth of talent in the yard, I am not sure whether he will ever emerge.

2nd  Quench My Soul    Mb Stables    Centeno D E
Capping off a one-two for the stable, he was taken back from his wide draw and finished very nicely to take second. He looked the better of the two stable companions on paper, but the draw as usual was the key, and he ran a good race to be second.

3rd  First Class Living    Estero Farms    Sanchez M J
As expected, the three’s completed a clean sweep with this gelding staying on for third. This wasn’t a bad effort for the former claimer, but he looks to be just below this grade at the current time.

4th  Nice Distorted Laff   Night Rider Stables   Smith M E
The wide gate speed push helped this one get to the lead, but as expected, he weakened down the stretch and was well beaten by the light weights. He did well enough for a four-year-old against the three’s though, and I am sure his time will come.
