1 Show Me How To Live Mo Mentum Farm Wilson E J 119 —

With 50% of the runners, it is fair to say that Mo Mentum wants to win this race and with all of them drawn well it seems the draw monster wants them to win too. A stakes winning three-year-old it is fair to say that he hasn’t progressed yet as a four-year-old but that can tend to happen and plenty of four-year-olds have got a development boost recently so it can be expected that this one will start to improve in the second part of the year. He is able to run any trip which is common here at HRP and his works have been pretty good so with a fair weight there is no reason he won’t run well.

2 Hollywood Charge Mo Mentum Farm Murrill M 118 —

A different animal than his stable mates, he was claimed just two races back but has proved since that he is better than that. A good win from on the pace last time one would expect that he will be the pace setter out of the stables 3 entries and with no weight on his back he could be hard to pull back.

3 Outcrosss Threshold Beschizza A 118 —

A bit of an enigma, he has run some big races such as second in the BEL Gold Cup last year but has also thrown plenty of clunkers. On his best form he will be a danger with bottom weight, but we won’t know which horse has turned up until after the race.

4 Cheveley Park Mo Mentum Farm Geroux F 121 —

You would think this would be the stables main entry, but with top weight it does bring him back into this field. He is another where we won’t know which one turns up until after the race but if the best version turns up, he will be good enough. He ran a huge race to win the Pan American early in the year but has struggled since and will need a strong pace of he is going to run his best.

5 Lantern Yard Avenue Z Alvarado F T 118 —

He has only won twice but has shown on occasions that he possesses the ability to do well at this level. He is on a 14-race losing streak but let’s not forget that in that streak was a close second in the HOL Turf Cup and that sort of effort would put him close to winning this.

6 French Style Royalty Stables Prat F 119 —

A lightly raced sort, he was much better last time in the Bowling Green, and one feels he may be ready for his best run for a while. His works are in the clone zone, but the wide gate mat be an issue despite there being only six runners.

SUMMARY

A tight looking race as these handicaps can be, there are a few question marks here and one feels that any of them could win on their day. Mo Mentum will be able to dominate tactically though and that could mean their runners have an advantage so let’s just box theirs up for the trifecta.
