A field of seven for this years running of the Seabiscuit Handicap over the turf course here on the seaside oval at Del Mar. Good field here so let’s take a look at the field.
1. Inicnam (22-4-7-2 $215.940), trained by Our Athletes
First up in the field here and this horse is coming into this race off of a second in an allowance race at Santa Anita. He has not won in over a year so going to have to run a big race to have a shot.
2. People Doubted (31-7-6-1 $1682.550), trained by Waldo
Next up here a multiple graded stakes winner in his career and he won the grade three Longacres Mile two races ago. He is back on the grass here and he likes the surface so I think he could have a decent chance at winning.
3. Butter Ball (30-11-2-5 $458.640), trained by Angelos Stable
Coming back for another shot at this race this horse right here and he was third in this race last year. He won three races back and he has a shot in this field if he runs a big race.
4. Id Rather Go Blind (34-2-5-7 $227.500), trained by TwinTowers Racing
Here is a horse who is very camera shy and does not find the winners circle very often. Only two career wins in his career but he does have some talent. Going to have to run a big race to have any shot.
5. Catch A Buzz (21-6-4-2 $294.730), trained by Maxmillion Farm
Next up in the field here and this horse is coming into this race off of a fifth in a grade two at Keeneland on the dirt. Not a bad horse here but he is quite inconsistent so not sure what he will do.
6. Telladifferentstory (13-4-3-1 $246.520), trained by Nakamura Stables
First for Nakamura Stables in the race and his last race was probably the best of his career when trying turf for the first time. He ran a big race and was a good second. He runs that race again I think he wins.
7. Sunday Phunnies (21-6-2-2 $335.670), trained by Nakamura Stables
The other Nakamura Stables horse and he is also a very good horse. He has been running good races throughout the year and he will be tough in the field. Stablemates could go one two.
Summary
A good field here and I think that Nakamura Stables could get the exacta in here with his two runners on the outside. Good luck to all in the field.
