5 MTH The Sorority Stakes
$200.000 2yoF 1m Dirt 120lbs +penalties
I told you, I cannot handicap baby races… it was a swing and a miss for me again in The Sorority Stakes at MTH on Sunday. For Nakamura Stables, it was another home run as their homebred filly Telling All, sent off as the 7/2 second favorite, went wire to wire and make it look easy, scoring by three lengths in a final time of 1:352 for the mile distance. The track was labeled fast. Style closed from far back to grab the second spot, just a head in front of Thermodynamics, with Ready To Ace a length back in fourth. Eight lengths covered the field in this one.
Telling All is a 2yo bay filly by Telling Ya – Little Holly, by Sneaky Little Pirate, and she was bed in Cal by her owner, Nakamura Stables. This was her second win from three starts, her first stakes score and she now has earnings of $135.600. Congratulations to the Connections!

Telling All broke alertly, gained the rail shortly after the break, set a comfortable pace throughout, never challenged. Style rated back off of the pace 2p, moved to the rail for the drive, won the photo for the place while no threat to the winner. Thermodynamics mid-pack 3p, moved up 2p into the far turn, lost place position on the wire. Ready To Act just behind the pace 3p, drifted widest into the lane, flattened out. Long Term Parking rated well off of the pace, passed tiring rivals. Perfect Illusion was not a factor. Klampenborg saved ground while chasing the pace, tired. Take Me On tracked the pace to the far turn, tired. Flair was not a factor.
