1 OP The Fantasy (GIII) [KYO]
$600.000 3yoF 1 1/16th Dirt 122lbs
If you took our two bottom choices, you smashed it… Naples, sent off as the 5/2 favorite, pressed the pace throughout The Fantasy (GIII) and just like she did over this surface last out in the Honeybee (GIII) she found a bit more late and took the win, this time without the DH. The final running time for the mile and a sixteen was 1:414, and the final winning margin was a neck. Exultant Gal closed from well back to grab the second spot, a neck better than Creepy Crawlies in third. Franchise Filly did the heavy lifting, setting a quick pace, but tired to be fourth.
Naples is a 3yo chestnut filly by Shark Force – Pivotal Cherokee, by Cherokee Scope, and she was bred by Mo Mentum Farm in Cal. She was acquired two races back, both winning efforts, via Private Purchase for $750.000. Now showing five wins from eight starts, she has a bankroll of $763.000. She stays undefeated for Arindel and I she is the point leader headed to the KYO. Congrats to the connections.

Naples broke well, sat behind the pace, moved by in deep stretch, won driving. Exultant Gal taken back after the break, remained restrained to the top of the lane, responded when asked, just missed in a game effort. Creepy Crawlies away well, tracked the pace, evenly. Franchise Filly alert start, set the pace to the lane, used. Mycrazyfirlfriend even effort, no threat. Summer had one pace, never a threat. Mercantile away well, tracked the pace to the far turn, lost ground, tired. War Excellence was never involved. Daratoga G trailed.
