7 FG Krantz Memorial Stakes
$100.000 4yo&Up F&M 1 1/16m Turf 123lbs +penalties
Pure Motor sat behind the pace in Saturday’s Krantz Memorial Stakes, but the 6yo mare knows when the cash is on the line and she kicked clear to take this one by two lengths. The final running time was 1:39.87 for the mile and a sixteen over the Firm FG turf course. Long-shots battled it out to the wire for the minor cash with Posterity taking the pace by the slimmest of margins over El Gran Condotteri, then it was five lengths back to Strategic North in fourth.
Pure Motor is a 6yo bay mare by General Motors – Pure Olatro, by El Gran Latro, and she was bred in NJ by Elki Stable. Claimed for $37.500 by current owner Night Rider Stables, this was her eleventh win from twenty-five starts and she now has lifetime earnings of $297.870. Congrats to the connections!

Pure Motor sat behind pace with a rail run, up 3p to take over with a furlong to run, pulled away. Posterity set the pace to the furlong marker, could not go with eventual winner, held on for place. El Gran Condotteri tracked the pace, 2p into the lane, just missed place. Strategic North was never involved.
