NM Classic Juvenile
ZIA Race #2 6f Dirt Stake
$145.000 For Two Year Olds Foaled In NM.
1 Imabrokenheartedfool T Boy Racing Fuentes M T
Won his maiden in a statebred but has failed at this level since. He’s a tryer and is drawn well so he should be thereabouts but i feel he is a bit exposed to find the improvement needed.
2 Karner Blue Maxmillion Farm Valdez-Jiminez E
Still a maiden but thrown in here and has come up with the coveted two draw. Doesnt look up to a few of these but is not out of it.
3 Heat John Henry Laviolette B
Won his maiden really easily but failed badly when switched to turf last time out. Back to dirt and with a 1.11 flat work recently he looks a major player.
4 Bloomquist Stone Creek Farm Walcott R W
Carries the penalty thanks to his win in the Copper Top Futurity he too had a go on the turf but failed and this trip and surface look right up his alley. The 1.10 and 4 work say this one should be one of the favorites.
5 Desecrator Jive Inc. Gomez E P
Gelded since sauntering home in his maiden he may find this trip a bit sharp for his liking but will be flying at the end.
6 The Psycho Spankys Barn Eikleberry R
Took his maiden on this track and looks the one that may make the running. If he gets away with some cheap splits he could be hard to get pass.
7 Start The Engine Axeman Ochoa J
Runner up twice in statebred stakes he gets away without a penalty and would be a lively chance back to this trip.
8 Mexican Swagger Aer Stables Chirinos R
You cant knock unbeaten form and this one has just about all the form and work times you need for a race like this. But, and this is a big but, he has to carry a penalty and he is drawn out in 8 and both of those are serious considerations.
9 French Lead T Boy Racing Perez M A
A winner of two but they have both been in claiming races and as much as there is little class system here at HRP i cant see that being good enough.
10 Poker In The Rear Greeko Holdem Arrieta F
Beaten a nose and a head in two statebred stakes so is almost a dual stakes winner without a penalty. The draw is very tough but he certainly has the form to run a big race.
11 Laffin Hero Axeman Juarez A J
Another narrowly beaten in a statebred stakes race he had won three in a row before that narrow defeat and has the fastest 6 furlong work in the field. Drawn inside you would say he would be a very big chance but out here in the cheap seats it all becomes a bit more of a lottery.
SUMMARY
Some of the best chances on paper are drawn wide here and that can be a bit of a gamble so i am going with the best i can find that is drawn inside and thats Heat from the John Henry Stable.
