No Surprises as Three Year Olds Dominate the All American

All American – Grade III
1 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $100.00 Open 3 Year Olds And Up.

1st Mission To Tugela, trained by Allinthegate
It is sad that this horses accomplishment in winning this race is overshadowed by the
huge advantage that three year olds seem to have in these types of races. The
bottom line is that this was a strong win by a game horse that made all the running
to win a good purse, the top line is he only had one rival.
This was a great return to winning ways for the little colt who looked a top three
year old when winning the Lewis Stakes but struggled in the SA Derby. It may well be
his diminished frame that cost him that race and todays weight allowance gave him an
easier weight to shoulder. One thing is for sure, if he can grow a few inches he will
be right up there with the best of his generation.

2nd Final Tune, trained by Mb Stables
Was restrained in an effort to get the trip but finished last of the two horses that
had a chance of winning. He ran on pretty well and wasnt beaten far and with only six
races under his belt he has plenty of scope for improvement.

3rd How Dare You, trained by Unreal Racing
Ran a great race considering he is a four year old taking on three year olds. Third
was always going to be the best he could do and he stuck on well after running the stalk.

4th Accidental Notice, trained by Joseph Racing
Also ran the stalk but faded in the end losing the race for third which is the only one
he had a chance in.

5th Green With Envy
Never got out of last place and was outclassed
