Spiral Stakes – Grade III [KYD]
1 1/8 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $200.00 Open 3 Year Olds.

1st Not Til Monday, trained by Mb Stables
I have seen it many times in the past, a consistent lightly raced three year old from the champion trainer step up from overnights and win a grade three. Whether the mud helped his chances or not he was tenacious down the stretch and after a decent battle with teh runner up pulled away for a game half length win. This wont be the best Derby hope for teh stable but he has done enough to deserve another crack at one of teh remaining Derby qualifiers.

2nd Liverpool Rocket, trained by Estero Farms
Made the front down the stretch but wandered a little under pressure and was eventually out battled inside the final furlong. He remains just outside teh Derby points but i am not sure he will stay the KYD trip so his trainer who has a few strings to their bow may look for a good mile event instead.

3rd Tyreese, trained by Threshold
Flying home from back in the field as usual this horse continues to operate just behind TC qualification.

4th The Drifter, trained by D J C Racing Stable
Ran on the pace and kept on gamely for fourth and although this was an improved effort i cant see him getting into the KYD picture.
