Not Trippin Now entered Saturday’s G2 Vosburgh with his ticket virtually punched for next month’s G1 BC Sprint at DMR.  Racing wide throughout, Not Trippin Now completed the six furlongs on the BEL dirt in 1:08.90 and firmly cemented himself as a legitimate threat in the BC.

At the break, Grande Greek and Im To Chai jumped best and established the early pace.  As the pair reached the half-mile pole in :22.75, they were a length and a half in front of Not Trippin Now who was racing outside of horses in the four path.  Just to his inside were Personal Beliefs and Winchester who were both within a half-length of the eventual winner.

Grande Greek reached the half in :45.27 and was was a length to the good on Im To Chai, on his outside.  Out in the five-path, Not Trippin Now was a length and a half off of the second place horse and racing in a line of four.  On the eventual winner’s inside were Dont Worry Be Jolly, Personal Beliefs, and Winchester.

Not Trippin Now drifted out at least nine wide by the time he struck the front around the sixteenth pole.  Grande Greek was still battling-on while Winchester was attempting to rally on the inside.  The rest of the field was advancing, but not with enough energy to trouble the winner.

At the wire, Not Trippin Noww held a half-length advantage over Winchester, Grande Greek, and Dont Worry Be Jolly who were in a three-way photo for the place.  When the photo sign was taken down, Winchester was awarded second, a nose in front of Grande Greek.  Dont Worry Be Jolly was a neck back in fourth and was followed home by Twilight Flame, Im To Chai, Personal Beliefs, Rock Your World, Sweet Sweet Sweet, Code Red Party, Wreaking Havoc, and Torque Converter.

Not Trippin Now (Not Laffin Now o/o Pink Moon Echo) is an automatic qualifier for the G1 BC Sprint and improved his record to 14-5-4-1 for earnings of $695.150.  Winchester solidified his BC position as the four points he was awarded for his second place finish now see him sitting in 6th on the BC leaderboard.  Grande Greek had to settle for the show, but the two points he was awarded were only enough to improve his position to 16th on the big board.
