1st Nude Beach, trained by Aer Stables

Outside post was no problem for this mare as she worked out a perfect last to first trip to get the win. She was last early on but moved by everybody and loved the off going to a length victory. She ran the distance in a time of 1:43.60 and earned $180.000 for the win.

2nd Blue Caviar, trained by Waldo

Trying to use a quick start and run most of the way on the lead and she almost pulled it off. She was up close and then went ahead and grabbed the lead and tried to fight off the winner late but she just could not. She ran a very game race to run second.

3rd Stamford Bridge, trained by Dynark Stables

Also a very good run from this filly as she stepped up pretty nicely against this tough competition and she was only beaten by two lengths by the winner. She sat a nice stalking trip and was in a good spot but came up a little bit flat down the lane. A good run for third.

4th Cannolo, trained by Mb Stables

Rounding out the top four here and she ran a decent race to only get beat by two lengths when it was over. She was last for a majority of the race and made up a few lengths down the stretch to at least get up for fourth and pick up a few bucks.

Summary

I think it is safe to say that the scratch of Z Command was very big for this race but Nude Beach ran a huge race and propelled herself to one of the best mares in the route division. A big time run from her and this is only the beginning of the year for her. Congratulations to Aer Stables and Nude Beach.
