Off To Shepton was as much as a dozen lengths from the lead between calls going to the half mile pole, but the two-year-old gelding kicked it into high gear soon afterwards and got the last laugh for Asgar. Big finish, big win, congrats to the connections and backers today. The two-year-old was also doing the no small feat of breaking his maiden in a stakes race, Awesome! Superior Palace made a nice late move himself for Mb Stables but was no match for the winner today. Quad Eights from Maxmillion Farm pressed and got to the lead, opened up between calls, but couldn’t hold off the top two closers this afternoon.

Of The Rest:

Perfect Heist from Big Guns Stables showed a touch of pace early but ran fourth the whole trip in a kind of just circling the oval effort.

Resounding from Chili King Stables showed early interest, but then dropped out of it after the halfway point to run fifth.

Healthy Choices from Mb Stables sent to the lead and battled the whole way before tiring and dropping back ten or so lengths out of it to run sixth.

Getaway from Maxmillion Farm showed no early foot, fell about eight off the lead at the half mile pole and ran last.
