A race that used to be held at LRL and was a true “event” with horses, owners, trainers and jockeys from all over the world.  Now, like everything else in Maryland, it’s a skeleton of itself.  Still, a decent purse and a fine field of eight turf specialists will line up at decrepit PIM to give this one a whirl.  The International Turf Cup (GIII) seems like a Rip Van Winkle party to me… he gets his picture taken more than Paris Hilton in a hotel room, and I ain’t kiddin’.  Five wins from his last six starts, the other a close-up second, and he shows a 8/1/2 record from his fifteen starts.  This is graded, but I don’t think he cares who he lines up with.  I’ll take Cover Photo as the second choice, and this could have gone a few different ways.  A mile is stretching out for this sprint specialist, but he may forget to stop and just run right past ’em all.
