The trainer may hate the race engine but this win would’ve put a smile on their face after they paid back the $100 they paid for her in one hit. Having only her fourth race and very disappointing on seasonal debut she relished the conditions today and ran out a fairly comfortable one length winner.

2nd Chances Are Mb Stables Gaffalione T

The winner of a grade three last time and beaten by a one race winner today, was it the soft ground or was it just the usual sort of result in this type of race, only their next races will tell us. She did well enough but just couldn’t quicken up in the going but there will be more to come from this improving filly.

3rd Fangs Of The Storm Arindel Davis D

Started favorite here due to good wet track form and the ace draw but for some reason the in form stable didn’t bring this one home as stalking the fast pace killed off her chances.

4th Dream Scheme Jive Inc. Gallardo A A

My guess this one was on a pace instruction but because it was wet the good old race engine stumbles about in the dark and set her off in front at a ridiculous wet track pace. Of course it took its toll and she weakened badly into a distant fourth.
