Pink N Bold took control at the top of the lane and held-off all challengers en route to winning the 1-mile $100.000 G3 Rampart at GP on Saturday.  The Rampart win is the 2nd G3 of Pink N Bold‘s career and improves her ledger to 16-8-2-3 for earnings of $511.070.

Pink N bold broke in the middle of a three-horse second-flight.  She was running third about five lengths off of the pace as the first quarter was run in :23.06 by a loose-on-the-lead Freelance.  Pink N Bold was able to erase a length off of her deficit down the backside and was four lengths behind the leader as the half went in :46.50.

Things changed going around the turn as Pink N Bold got closer with every stride and by the time Freelance posted three-quarters in 1:10.27, the eventual winner was just a length off of her.  Pink N Bold would take over shortly after they entered the stretch; however, new challengers were starting to emerge.  Techno Slayer was charging on Pink N Bold‘s outside and Hearts was doing the same up the inside.  Pink N Bold would not wilt and crossed the wire in 1:34.83 and a length in front of Techno Slayer.  Hearts was just another neck back in 3rd and was followed home by Freelance, Five Star Queen, Jensen, and Tall And Fast.

Congratulations to Iolaus Racing and Pink N Bold on their victory in the $100.000 G3 Rampart at GP.
