MB Stables, Positive Thinking captured the final Triple Crown jewel on Saturday at Belmont racetrack. Ridden by jockey JL Ortiz, Positive Thinking was allowed to settle in last place through the first half mile before making a strong move along the rail in the mid part of the race to move into contention midway through the final turn. As the horses reached the top of the stretch Positive Thinking had moved to the four path and was taking aim on the leader The Right Stuff. By the time they hit the 1/8th pole Positive Thinking had surged to the lead to go on and win comfortably. KY Derby and PRK Stakes winners #6 Shootfromthehip and #12 Ginger Haggis would make late moves but never threatened the winner, they dead heated for the place. Final time for the 1-1/2mi race was 2:29.58
