Gumshoe went post to wire to win The Clarendon Stakes by three quarters of a length from the closing Is That True with Techno Charmer a further length back in third.

Gumshoe went post to wire, drawing two lengths clear of the field, closed down in the final furlong holding on to win by three quarters of a length from Is That True with Techno Charmer a length further back in third.

How They Ran.

Winner. Gumshoe. Led from start to finish, winning by three quarters of a length.

2nd. Is That True. Started and raced in third, ran on strongly down the home stretch getting up to finish second.

3rd. Techno Charmer started at the rear of the field, four lengths off the pace, ran on to take third in the final half furlong, beaten by two lengths.

4th. Black Mackee started and raced in second, two lengths off the pace, stayed on at one pace dropping back to finish fourth, beaten by three lengths.

5th. Perfect Fog started in fourth, dropping back to race in last place and stayed there, beaten by four lengths.
