Pretty Boy Takes The Central Park

The Central Park
1 Mile Inner Turf Stake Purse $150.000 Open 2 Year Olds.

1st Pretty Boy Floyd Big Jd Racing Carmouche K 1:33.40

It was the recent mile work of this gelding that made him a big chance here rather than his maiden claiming win prior, it was just a question of whether that was a fast PRX track, or it was a genuine time. Well, the proof is in the pudding, and he ran a race like a good horse coming off a loose stalk and powering home for a half-length win. It was a solid pace and a good winning time, so I think this one is improving well and should prove up to graded level over this sort of trip and surface.

2nd Hot Bbq Luz International Luzzi L J 1:33.51

Ran on really well from his tough draw and was gaining all the way to the line after sitting off the pace for much of the race. This was a good effort, and he clearly has a future over ground on this surface.

3rd Blaze All Williams9 Franco M 1:33.56

Went to the front for the first time since his debut so you would have to assume the gaming buttons were used and he ran nicely enough to suggest this may be the answer to his lack of early speed displayed in a few previous runs. A good effort

4th Categorical Vow Asgar Lezcano J 1:33.80

Went back from his wide draw and ran on well enough but was never within striking distance. Having worked a similar time to the winner this was a little disappointing, but the AI never put him in with a chance.
