As the horses entered the starting gate today at Parx the weather was perfect and the ground came back fast. The betting public was having a hard time separating 3 horses in the field Mazula Ruler, Prince of Monaco, and Pinnacle West. As the gates swung open all the horses got away well. 2 furlongs into the race Pinnacle West had forged his way to the lead with Lukas Duke along the rail in 2^nd and Prince of Monaco just behind him in 3^rd with the opening ¼ mile run in 23 and 2. As the horses finished the first half mile of the race Pinnacle West was still on the lead and Lukas Duke was running behind him in second but Seeking The Wild had made an early move and pulled into 3^rd place with the half mile being run in 47 and 1. 2 furlongs out from the wire the top 3 in had not changed and Pinnacle West had lengthened his lead, however the danger horse appeared to be Prince Of Monaco who had hit his best stride and looked to be moving toward the leader powerfully from the 4^th spot. Just inside the 1 furlong mark to go Prince of Monaco blew by Pinnacle West and Seeking The Wild followed him on the inside but could not get past the powerful move of Prince of Monaco.
