Purse $200.000 For Fillies Three Years Old. |
1st Queen Elizabeta, train by Mb Stables
With the ground coming up wet, it was left to the two wet ground specialists to fight out the finish. This filly recently purchased for a hundred dollars was beaten in an overnight last time, but that was on a faster track and she was ridden up with the pace. Today she trailed the field by a long way and ploughed through the wet like so many others fail to do to get up and win going away. This filly could be a tough one to beat if the ground comes up wet in future races and I am sure her trainer will be watching the weather forecast closely.
2nd Darken Times, trained by Threshold
A bit of an enigma but it looks like the mystery is solved with regards to her hit and miss ability, she is a mudder. Leading throughout she looked as though she had cracked them all before the big late run of the winner. This was a decent effort but a think this may also be the best of her.
3rd Geek Watch, trained by Nakamura Stables
Testing conditions for a filly who seems to lack the stamina for a fast run mile on turf she was right on the pace before faltering badly down the stretch and falling away. This was a disappointing effort but I feel she can bounce back on better going.
4th Gallop Racer Queen, trained by Blushing meadows
Another who hated the conditions she too faded badly and this run is best forgotten
5th Eva The Diva, trained by Hawaiian Shirt Guy
Ran a hugely disappointing race but hated the ground, give her another chance on a firm footing
