No speed duel developed in this contest. Groovy took the lead and drew away by 1 ½ lengths in the early going. Thanks Cmazz, Childe Girl and Mental Scars stalked the pace with Shining At Knight and Conoshi content mid-pack. Queen Evade Party was in the final flight with Play In The Sand and Black Book.

Queen Evade Party laid well off the pace, quietly chipping away at the lead until swung to the outside on the turn for home. Once in the clear, the eventual winner turned up the gas, gobbling up the field in the run down the stretch and collared Groovy in the final jumps.

5 Thanks Cmazz (Patterson Stables) Stalked the pace, faded to fifth.

6 Black Book (Mb Stables) Last throughout, made a run late to get sixth.

7 Conoshi (Mo Mentum Farm) Never involved.

8 Mental Scars (Nakamura Stables) Mid-pack early, faded to eighth.

9 Play In The Sand (Luz International) Never a factor.
