The FL Oaks – Grade III
1 1/16 Mile Turf Stake Purse $200.000 Filly 3 Year Olds.
1st Quiver Pond, trained by Estero Farms
That sub 1.35 work was a big clue that this one was good for this race and the way she won suggests there will be plenty more success in the future. Clearly a turf specailist she always had them covered today and took a couple of big scalps.
2nd Ambiguity, trained by Blushing Meadows
A much better effort from this promising filly she ran on nicely for second. I dont think she is a through and through turfer, very much a dual purpose type and i would imagine she will keep on switching between surfaces.
3rd Sandset, trained by Team 7 Illusions
Kept on at the one pace for third and although she never looked like doing any better this was a decent effort from a one race winner.
4th Quakerce, trained by Sir Daniel Martin
The BC Champion was one paced in fourth but this was her first run since November so she was entitled to need it. I am sure her next run will be more like her BC winning self.
