Recently finished second by a neck in the Starlet at LA a Grade I event going today’s distance. Prior to that she ran in the BC Juvenile for Fillies Grade I at today’s distance where she actually did very well to finish third by a half length. Prior to that race she won the Chandelier Stakes a Grade I at SA going today’s distance. Her resume definitely speaks volume. Making her 2016 debut in today’s Grade II event. A little bit of a step down for this filly as she seeks a win against Grade II company. Surprisingly enough Corey Nakatani will not be in the saddle, and he will be at FG on Saturday. Joel Rosario picks up the mount. Her SRF number is 92..
- Laffin Alliance Delta Farms Ortiz J L
Failed in the Silverbulletday Stakes a $150.000 Non Graded event at FG here in January. Prior to that she ran a nice second on the mud at CD in the Grade II Golden Rod. Considering she just broke her Maiden at KEE at today’s distance, she might not be ready for this group of girls. Her SRF number is 88.
- Love In The Mist Mb Stables Bejarano R
Finished fifth in the Silverbulletday just a month ago. Prior to that she finished third in a dead heat in the BC Juvenile Filly Turf Grade I. Tough call to say if she likes the sod better than the dirt. She is a proven winner on the dirt if you look back her Maiden win, then her next race she wins and Allowance, then onto a Non Graded Stakes win. Since October she hasn’t been where she needs to be, the winner’s circle. I’m opting out here. Her SRF number is 89.
- Summer Sampler Downwind Stables Geroux F
Broke her Maiden at ELP, then went on to her next start at RET against TX breds to win her Allowance race. Since then she finished second in the Tempted Grade III at AQU in November. Most recently she finished second in the Silverbulletday race right here against several other entries in today’s race. She will need to put her best foot forward in today’s race. Her SRF number is 92.
- My Lady Calia Stable Castellano J J
She has back to back wins. She is 2 for 3 in career starts vs wins. She broke her Maiden at AQU on the In Dirt course in December. Then she came right back in January to face NY Breds in the May Stakes for a purse of $100.000 where she won by ¾ of a length. She definitely is finding much tougher company today. Both wins came off the In Dirt at AQU, so will she like this surface the same? Tough call, but I’m looking elsewhere. SRF number is 92.
- Cardinal Fire Alydar Stables Alvarado J
Three back won an open Allowance against Non Winners of 2 races lifetime in the slop at KEE. From there she shipped from KEE to TP where she would win again, against Optional Claimers Non Winners of 2 races $25.000. Her last start was right here in the Silverbulletday where she made a nice show, coming well off the pace from 9th to finish 3rd. She will need a nice pace up front, and she could strike. Definitely tougher company here today. Her SRF number is 89.5.
- Charley Swarley Threshold Velazquez J R
Broke her Maiden at second asking against Non Graded Stakes Company in the Letellier Memorial Stakes by a length. Then she raced again at FG in an open Allowance for Non Winners of 1 race over the good main track to finish second by a length. She is definitely stretching out today, which might fit her well. She looks like she might like to close a bit, and her three career starts haven’t allowed her such opportunities. With that said, I think this is more of a practice race for this three year old. Her SRF number is 89.5.
- Behind The Throne Aer Stables Ortiz I Jr
Was sold in October for $165.00. Since she is in the new barn she was shipped to KEE where she ran in the Grade I BC Juvenile Filly Turf where she finished eighth. In January she went out to GG where she got an off turf course in an Optional Claimer $62.50 Non Winners of 3 races where she finished fourth by nine lengths. She switches to the dirt course, which I think may be a huge help for her. I’m not willing to put my money on this one. Her SRF number is 83.5.
- Looknlisten D J C Racing Stables Leparoux J R
Recently won the Silverbulletday race beating several entries here. This was all done at the FG, so it is sort of a rematch for many of these girls today. Prior to that race she won another Non Graded Stakes race at WO going seven furlongs on the dirt course in the Glorious Song Stakes where she won by a nose. I like that she beat several of these ladies last time out. Hard not to like her. Her SRF number is 92.5.
- Disney Music Sarah Stables Albarado R J
Ran at SA in the Santa Ynez Stakes Grade II in January going 6.5 furlongs on the dirt course where she finished fourth. Prior to that she ran at AQU in the Grade II The Demoiselle where she won by a length going 1 1/8 mile on the dirt course. Prior to that at today’s distance she ran in the BC Juvenile Filly Grade I to finish fourth. She did that coming out of post position number 14. The only thing I don’t like for Disney Music is she likes to be midpack to closer to the front, and coming from post 10, she could struggle to get positioning. Very nice filly here. Her SRF number is 94.
