1st Playmaker, trained by RNP Stables
Worked the dream trip sitting third on the rail 3 lengths off a slow pace. Started making up ground on the turn, angled out coming into the stretch and drew off to win by a comfortable length. The final time of 1.39.52 is good and I would not be surprised to see this one take a step up next time.
2nd Cherokee Charlie, trained by Team 7 Illusions
Sat 5th five lengths off the lead settling in on the rail behind the eventual winner. Could not make up any ground on that one but was able to pass the pacesetters to finish 2nd.
3rd Maggies Bones, trained by End Run Farm
Changing up tactics from his most recent races he found himself on the lead setting very reasonable fractions. Was able to take them deep into the stretch and held nicely for the show.
4th Shining Victory, trained by Sanny Village
Pressed the pace throughout but was never a serious threat to the winner. Managed to hold on for a minor share of the purse.
