$100.000 3yo&Up F&M 1m InTurf 3yo 120 lbs Older 123 lbs +penalties
Turning for home in Saturday’s Suwannee River (GIII), RNP Stables’ Shinning Moments looked to be uninterested and set for another off-the-board finish… then… kaboom. Like she was shot out of a cannon, the little 3yo chestnut filly flew home to take the win by two widening lengths, stopping the tele-timer in 1:32.88 for the flat mile turf stakes. Amalfi also closed from far back to take the second spot, a quarter-length better than Wonder Authority in third, and post-time favorite Deep Atonement was a head back in fourth after setting the pace throughout this one. The turf course was listed as Firm and this was the first time the race was reconfigured to a flat mile.
Shining Moments is a 3yo bay filly by Creepy Time – Outshined, by Wreaking Havoc, and she was bred in NY by her owner, RNP Stables. This was her seventh win from fifteen starts, five of those wins coming this season, and she now shows lifetime earnings of $1,029.600.

Shining Moments rated back saving ground to the far turn, moved to 2p splitting horses while gaining ground, moved up quickly to take over at the eighth pole, kicked clear, widening late. Amalfi lacked interest 2p, fanned 6p into the lane closing widest of all, second best. Wonderful Authority tracked the pace throughout, lost position late. Deep Atonement set the pace to the eighth pole, tired. Nailed Sir raced evenly. Point Of Honor tracked the pace, wide trip, tired. Inquisition wide trip, tired. Etive trailed.
