If anyone had plans of sending Lets Do It Big Boy to Virtual KY Horse Park for his retirement party, you may want to change the Lexington destination as the 8yo gelding is headed to KEE for BC weekend after stalking the early pace then running on relentlessly in the final stages of Saturday’s WO Mile (GI), stamping his ticket to the BC while RNP Stables pocketed the lion’s share of the $1,000.000 purse, here at WO.  That’s his third graded win of the season, and gives him back to back wins at the mile distance.  Great Bonkers closed from well off of the pace and tried to make a race of it, but settled for the second sport, a neck better than the stable-mates Spiral, and Quiet Hero in third and fourth.  Post-time favorite Last Way To The Beac was fifth in the field of fourteen. 

Lets Do It Big Boy is an 8yo gelded son of Cherokee Sunset – Black Sholes, by Jolly Be Great, and he was bred in Cal by Team 7 Illusions.  RNP Stables purchased him in Oct of 2018 for $125.000 and it’s been a long stream of stakes racing since then… showing fourteen wins, twelve seconds and seven thirds from his sixty-four starts, and he now shows lifetime earnings of an impressive $3,477.770.  Congrats to the Connections and best of luck in Lexington.

Lets Do It Big Boy stalked the pace 2p,  found a seam while lacking racing room moving into the lane, closed with a flourish, won driving.    Great Bonkers wide trip racing 5p/6p throughout, good late foot to grab the place.   Spiral stalked the early pace 4p, wide through the turn fanning into the lane, edged up to  look the leader in the eye inside the furlong pole, game effort.   Quiet Hero broke alertly setting the pace to the furlong marker, caught, out-kicked.    Last Way To The Beac saved ground tracking the pace-setter from the rail, no excuse.    Raj The Magician broke alertly pressing the early pace, tired in the late stages.   Jakarta lacked early interest, ground saving trip, some late foot.   Cadillac Jack stalked the pace to the three-sixteenths marker, tired.   Roman Rage raced evenly throughout while no threat.  Commanding Officer was not a factor.   Cold Weather Rider  ground saving trip, no factor.   Express Majestic  was never involved.   Hollywood Capo  was outrun.   Silver Rocket trailed throughout.
