A good even pace suited this one as she just stepped off the pace early and then grinded like we know she can eventually getting through to hold sway at the line by just under a length. This is a wonderfully consistent filly who always runs her race and is ideally suited to this sort of grade. Having said that she beat a couple of grade one winners today so she maybe ready to step up if things work for her.

2nd Rebel Girl Marijane Racing Stab Velazquez J R

If there is a horse that will hook a new player for life it is a horse like this. Claimed for just $3 she is now a grade three placed mare just three races later and it must be said as she loomed up as they hit the stretch i thought she was going to carry on the fairy story run. This was a decent field and there is more to come from her to keep this stable interested.

3rd Versailles D J C Racing Stables Vargas J A Jr

A much better effort after the last glitchy race she ran in but she just seems to have gone off the boil a little bit and may need a little something to get back into her best form. A decent effort, staying on for third but never really looked like a winner.

4th Yankee Stadium Smokey Stover Franco M

Still not looking like a 1K filly but i feel that run against the boys in the Kilroe Mile may have just blunted her a little bit. She will be back and i am sure there is a big win in her this season but i feel a decent break may just get her mojo back.
