Rosemari Perfect Simply Perfect in the Alabama Stakes

It was a beautiful day today at Saratoga and the once field of 13 runners was cut down to 12 runners with the late scratch of Sirens Blaring. The track came up fast and the remaining runners were hoping for a career making performance today. As the gates were about to open the #3 horse Hydro was the luke warm betting favorite. When the gates finally opened up the runners all came out well however T S Razor decided she wanted the lead and went right for it and 2 furlongs into the race she had opened up a length and ½ lead on Plucky Girl who was 2^nd. Wildstile was sitting just inside Plucky Girl in 3^rd and just to her inside in 4^th was Charming Face. A half mile into the race T S Razor was still on the lead and was pulling away from the field running the first half in 47 and 4. This had to make owner MB Stables a little nervous as if her speed could carry the final 6 furlongs. Plucky Girl was still in 2^nd place and Charming Face had moved up one spot past Wildstile into 3^rd. 6 furlongs into the race T S Razor was still on the lead and still looked pretty strong holding a 2 length lead on her next closest foe who was Charming Face who had moved into second along the inside. Plucky Girl appeared to be tiring and had moved back into 3^rd place. With 2 furlongs to go T S Razor had pretty much thrown in the towel but still had a narrow lead on the nice moving Charming Face in second. The Reaper had moved into third on the inside but there were 2 danger horses lurking in Team Nebraska who was on the outside and Rosemari Perfect who had navigated through traffic and found an open lane that she hoped to charge right on through. Just inside the 1 furlong mark Rosemari Perfect charged by Charming Face and it was just a matter of how far she was going to win by. Team Nebraska also continued her sustained run and she was hoping to get up for 2^nd. In the end Rosemari Perfect took the win and Team Nebraska was able to get past Charming Face and finish 2^nd with Charming Face holding on for 3^rd.
