This race was a race to see which of last years three’s was going to be the four year old to challenge this years three’s and Sassy One proved the best with a gutsy nose win. Bought for $300.000, she has been a great buy and now it just remains to be seen whether she can compete with the three’s and a weight allowance….history says sadly she won’t.

2nd   Devil Wears Prada  Axeman     Boulanger G  1:39.98

I screamed myself hoarse as this gallant old lady flew home and very nearly nabbed another famous victory. Taken back from her wide draw she only needed another few yards to win but just came up short.

3rd   Eastern Sky  Maxmillion Farm  Gutierrez Mario  1:40.01

Looked like she may win at one point but just got out battled and ended up a very close third. She lost nothing in defeat here and will be there to fight another day.

4th   Good Line  Mb Stables  Rocco J S Jr  1:40.06
Last years BC fillies and mares turf winner continued the dismal day for BC champions by finishing fourth. On pace throughout she kept on pretty well but was worried out of it in the end.
