  2     AQU    The Comely (GIII)

Gotham City and the TG weekend as we look at the field for The Comely (GIII), a classic mile and an eighth main track stakes for the sophomore fillies.  I know a lot is made of outside posts and the perception that it’s a “death trap”, but I don’t see it quite the same and think that Swiss Chocolate is the one to beat here, even though she is in the outside/eight post.  She is the picture of consistency, just missed when third beaten a nose in the Mother Goose (GII) and was second in the Zenyata (GII) at SA prior to that.  She dominated NY-bred stakes prior to that, and this could be the day for her to put a graded race in her resume’.  Twilight Time beat the top selection when second in the fore-mentioned Mother Goose, and she will be on my tickets as well.  She was fifth in a couple of turf stakes but won an Alw race when moved back to the main track, prior to that last out near miss.  She seems to like this surface, and that could be tough on the rest of these.  I’ll throw the one and seven under these in the tri, and see if we can cash a ticket… I hope you do as well!
