$750.000 1m Turf 4yo&Up F&M 122lbs
RL turf… good. Here, good – nah… yielding – of course not… let’s not put out the effort and call it ok…. The good news is, Secret Of A Lady was the best horse in this race, and it showed… the Mb Stables trained 4yo gray filly loped along for the better part of this flat-mile turf stakes, then closed like a freight train down the center of the track, moving past the field like they were standing still. The final margin was two lengths, although it looked like more than that to me, and she stopped the timer at 1:37.73. Acquired at the Sep 24 Auction for $50.000, she is by Higgs Boson – Modesta, by Dawning and was bred by Fractious in FLA. This was her eighth win, second of the ’25 season, and she now shows earnings of $1,436.520. Congrats to the Connections!
Bronze Mooka Party, from Mo Mentum Farm, nosed out Maletto’s Poetic Panther by the slimmest of margins, second and third. It was another half-length to the winner’s stable mate and post time favorite, Wander in fourth. Fourteen lengths covered the field of six, and we did have one scratch, Power Royale.
