$200.000 For 2yo Foaled in NY 6f Dirt |
This one is still trying to break maiden, although he was third in a stakes race in his most recent outing. He has shown speed in all of his starts, and laid down a bullet 5f work over this track, getting ready for this one. I don’t know if he can win, but I think he can contend for a minor share.
Has his unbeaten streak snapped when facing stakes company at SAR last out, and he just seemed to be flat on that afternoon, where he just kind of got in the middle of the pack and stayed there. He has a win over this track while facing ALW company, so you have to think that this is a bit better spot for him to get back to his winning ways. Give him a big look.
He’s won two of his four starts, but he’s been a claiming horse most of his life and certainly jumps into the deep end of the pool here. The new barn added bute to this one, and he came back to win for those connections. Still, this looks like a tough spot to climb up.
Got the job done last out to break maiden at ALB. That was a two-turn affair and he was sent off as the heavy favorite in that race. He may be around for a small portion of this one but I can’t see him making it two in a row.
Stepped outside of the NY-bred races last out when third at DMR in an OptAlw race at 5f on the grass. Comes back to the main track where he’s shown some real ability, breaking maiden by nine and came back to be a close-up third in a stakes at BEL – both of those v. NY horses. Give him a serious look here.
Broke maiden at SAR and then ran sixth in the DMR Futurity (GI)… and now the vet has stopped by give him an attitude adjustment. He’s had a series of works over the NY major league tracks since then and looks ready to fire a big one here today.
He’s won two in a row here at FL and has won three of his last four starts, including that last out stakes win here while facing similar. He picks up two pounds off of that win, but it doesn’t seem to be that big of a deal to me – it’s more the post position that has me on tilt. Both of those wins over this track came from a rail post position… making this interesting.
