  16   LS    Sexton Mile (GIII)

Down to Texas and a big day of racing here at LS… this one, we take a look at the miler types and the field of seven set to go in the Sexton Mile (GIII).  It’s not a huge field, but some real questions come from this one… the weather down this way has been a real mess, but I’m looking at blue skies and a Fast track… with that, let’s go to the rail and put Distant Breeze on top… he’s won his last two starts, one wet, one dry, taking the Ghostzapper (GIII) at GP and the Alysheba (GII) at CD, and with his speed and the rail, this one could be over faster than you can walk back to cash the tickets.  I think his best will get it done.  Let’s move closer to the outside post and put Electric in the second spot, that one winning two of his last three, the Toboggan (GIII) and the Westchester (GIII), both of those over the AQU oval.  He did throw a dud in between, but, draw a line thru it and let’s march on.
