1 Tranquil Top Mb Stables Beschizza A 122 —

Claimed from Acber Farms after a fourth-place finish in an optional claimer off a maiden win you wouldn’t be expecting this one to show up at this level. However, the claimant was Mb Stables and that sends out a message as any player at HRP knows. Drawn the ace with some strong works this is her first run over ground and her first in this sort of class making her the sort of unknown quantity that can spring a surprise in this sort of race, I am not sure her form is strong enough so far but that isn’t to say she can’t show the rapid improvement an Mb claim can bring about so I wouldn’t be ruling out the win.

2 Aquitaine Mb Stables Pennington F 122 —

The trainer must be loving the draw monster here as they find themselves with the two inside draws for this nice prize. This one is much easier to weigh up on form than her stable mate and though the stable has a third entry this one must be the number one choice from the yard on bare form. The winner of the Sandpiper over a sprint trip she then very nearly won the Santa Ynez from an on-speed position but then found going on a fast pace with a wide draw too much in the Alexandra. I guess the trip is still a query with all her wins coming in sprints, but her works are very good and if they just go a little easier in the early part of the race, she may be able to see it out OK.

3 Chantilly Road D J C Racing Stables Elliott S 122 —

Won the Gasparilla Stakes in good fashion on seasonal debut but had a horrible draw in the SUN Oaks and could not find a challenge last time out. A better stalking draw today should see her run better than that last effort and she has to go into this with a good chance.

4 Intimate Team 7 Illusions Lezcano J 122 —

Two wins from her last three including the Cincinnati Trophy Stakes last time she looks a live chance to continue the stables good run of form. She went on-speed in her win last time and seems happiest around the early pace and that could be an advantage here as she is sure to stay the trip too. Her last two runs have been at big odds, I can’t see that happening today.

5 Swift Predator Mb Stables Ortiz J L 122 —

The third stable runner, this one comes here from a campaign at much lower level where she has been given time to mature. So far, we have only seen her sprinting so her ability to get this trip is in question, but the stable wouldn’t have her here if they didn’t think she could be effective so let’s go with that. It is hard to say what the tactics will be with her as she has shown bags of speed over sprint trips but may be taken back to use that speed at the right end of the race today. An interesting runner but one it is hard to have confidence in.

6 Ginger Code TwinTowersRacing Gutierrez Mario 122 —

Well behind Intimate in the Cincinnati last time it is hard to see her winning on what we have seen so far, but that is usually when this stable pulls one out of the bag and makes me look a fool. It is hard to pick a piece of form or a work that gives her a chance of the win here.

7 Love Beer High Voltage Centeno D E 122 —

Third in the Cincinnati, so has something to find on Intimate but has been fairly consistent in these KYO qualifying races and it wouldn’t take much to see her competitive here. It is hard to see where she will be best placed through this race, but this is the third time Centeno has been on her back today and maybe the AI will have learned something about her on recent efforts. Each way all day.

8 Shes A Looker Nakamura Stables Gallardo A A 122 —

Won the Busanda with a brave effort before running a strong second in the Alexanda she must be a top three chance, and it would be easy to see her winning. The draw makes it tough but then she managed a car park draw in the Busanda so as long as she isn’t pushed too hard early on, I think it will be fine. On all the form lines I can see this is your winner.

9 Scenic View First Class Stable Zayas E J 122 —

She has come good in her last two after taking a bit of time to clear maidens and looks an improving closer who could benefit from some fast early fractions that are likely in this race. This is a step up from TAM overnights, but I think this one may be ready to step up.

SUMMARY

I think Shes A Looker could be good for this, she has the form lines to win. Scenic View will run a good race I feel and could spice up the exotic bets, Intimate, Chantilly Road and Aquitane will be there to pick up the pieces should my main choice fall over.
