1st Short Tempered, trained by Oval Express Farms
This six year old has always been knocking around this sort of performance
and today it seems it was his turn to get a stakes win. Travelling just off
the speed he got to the front and kept on dourly for a much deserved quarter
length win. A winner of seven from thirty four he is another to add to this
season of old timers coming good.

2nd Big Badd John, trained by Nakamura Stables
Made the running and looked to have pinched enough of an advantage but just
got run down late. This was a good effort for a horse that was cheaply claimed
at the beginning of the year.

3rd Bold Eagle, trained by La Canada Racehorses
Got a bit detached in the chasing group but ran on very strongly late for third.
This was a better effort than his last run and i would expect even more next year.

4th Effortless, trained by Threshold
It seems this horse just cannot recapture his FL Derby winning form and he may
be heading for the breeding shed now.

5th Hootie
Never in it

6th Perfect Force
Never a factor
