Sinissippi Eagle throws the form book out of the window

The GP Handicap – Grade II
1 Mile Dirt Stake Purse $500.000 Open 4 Year Olds And Up.

1st Sinissippi Eagle, trained by Grimley
Without a win since 2014 this five year old found an extra leg today to win this nice prize
by a half length. Beaten in overnights on turf and dirt he had looked like a brave but
underwhelming sort for most of his career but as is the norm here at HRP form can turn around
overnight and his recent works have suggested there was a perfromance like this round the corner.
So it remains to be seen whether this was a random event or whether he can continue this
improvement and go on to be a force in the dirt division.

2nd Visa Vice, trained by Mb Stables
Got a good run from the wide draw managing to avoid the wide gate voodoo of going too fast
or too slow. Looked as though he may win getting into the stretch but his old legs couldnt quite
gallop quick enough after a widish trip and he went under by a game half length. This was a good
run after his failure in the San Antonio and proves that this evergreen nine year old still has a
few miles on the clock.

3rd Gma Is My Hero, trained by Aer Stables
Had a few wins in overnights recently and that certainly has bolstered his confidence. Right on the
pace from the off and whilst he fell away from the winning battle he kept on well enough for third.
This run was right back to his best.

4th Joie de Bleu, trained by Riggins Racing
Got to the lead but just like in his last start over this trip in this grade he couldnt keep up the
gallop down the stretch. Beaten two lengths in the end this wasnt a bad effort but he continues to
be a little weak at the business end.

5th Awesome Ruler
Trailed the field for much of the race and ran on well late on. This was a much better effort than
it looked on paper and i would be watching out for him next time.

6th Divine And Broke
There must be concerns around this former juvenile champion now as once again he failed to get into
the race.

7th Magnifico
Got back and ran on well to be beaten only three lengths. A better run than the result looked.

8th Wild Spirits
Only beaten three lengths but never got in the race.

9th Unsuited
I have no idea how this horse finished last but he never got into the race. He may need further as this race
was run at a furious pace which may be the only reasonable explanation.
