Six Set to Go in LCD Sprint

$100.000 Ungraded Stake for LA-breds
Three Year Olds and Upward
6 Furlongs Dirt at FG

There are at least three in this field with a strong chance at the win. Snippets Dancer and Bravo Whisky share top SRF figures, each with a 98 this year. Both are stakes winners. Snippets Dancer is a five-year-old gelding and the only non-three-year-old in the field, so he will carry top weight at 125 lbs. Shouldn’t bother him, but Midnight Path could benefit from the four-pound advantage and pull off the win. Even without it, he is a strong contender.

Here’s the field:

1 Brilliant Dreams
Owner: Asgar
Breeder: Team 7 Illusions

Only four starts for this three-year-old colt. Only win came in a MSW at MNR in October. Has not hit the board in his other three starts.

2 Snippets Dancer
Owner: On The Map Racing
Breeder: Sarah Stables

Last win came in the $60.000 Costa Rising Stakes for LA-breds on turf. Before that, he finished a close second in the LAPN Sprint on dirt. Has been pretty consistent this year, with a record of 6-1-2-1 $70.790. A win here would not be a surprise.

3 Bravo Whisky
Owner: Hawaiian Shirt Guy
Breeder: Razorback Racing

Won the $50.000 LAC Sprint in August and a state-bred N1X in July. Raced twice in September, finishing off the board both times. Should be competitive here.

4 Copper Way
Owner: Hacienda Don Tito
Breeder: Team 7 Illusions

Three-year-old colt coming in off a win at CD in $50.000 claiming company. Has hit the board in five of eight starts this year, including a state-bred MSW win here at FG in January.  Should like the distance and the surface.

5 Chief Of Arc
Owner/Breeder: Team 7 Illusions

Only three starts for this three-year-old maiden. Closest finish was a third last out in the state-bred Heital Stakes here at FG. Will need a top effort.

6 Midnight Path
Owner: Yankee Doodle Stable
Breeder: Razorback Racing

Very consistent this year with an 8-2-3-2 $102.070 record. Has been close in high-level allowance company, including a win last out at CD in N1X company on turf. SRFs aren’t as strong as some, but he has to be considered a top contender.
