   2  CD    The Harrods Creek

PI… sure.  We go to the TwinSpires and look at a group of three-year-old sprinters going seven furlongs in the Harrods Creek.  Solid purse, solid field… always fun to go to CD for fall stakes season, so let’s see how this one goes. 

I’ll head for the outside post and give our veteran trainer Jerry Garcia Racing’s Excoriator the nod.  I know, I know… Cozman, he was eighth last out… but that was at a mile and a quarter, like many of his TC (prep)races, all set at a classic distance.  He shortens up to a spot where I think he just runs off and hides, today. 

The second spot was a bit of a challenge for me but let’s give Van Go Go the edge. We should get some value and a horse that won at the distance, over this surface.  that was an OptAlw race, but he was second in the ELP Derby, so he’s no stranger to stakes types.
