Everything is bigger in TX… except the field for the TX Derby.  Only a field of six will go post-ward for this mile and a sixteenth battle of sophomores.  I would look at this as a good race to go get a hot dog and a beer before dropping $2 on the race, but The Green Card says that money can be made and takes El Gran Blue Jay as the top choice here.  He set the pace and just missed in a WV-bred stakes at CT, and that race did go in quick time, so, I see where the pick comes from.  They also put a decent number on I Miss Texas, winning two of four starts and selling for a pretty penny before this race.  It looks wide open to me, so… use your noggin’ when headed to the windows.
