1st Skydancer Riggins Racing Rodriguez Jam

The home-bred filly kept up her good run of form with a smooth win in this race, winning with a fair bit in hand. The pace was solid enough that she could sit back off them a little, but she always had them in her sights and came with a strong run to seal the deal. This win came off the back of a really good effort in the DEL Oaks and now she seems to be able to get a good position early in the race; she is certainly becoming pretty effective.

2nd Ghost Writer Nakamura Stables Elliott S

Another good effort to place at this level, and a win must come soon at graded level. Close enough throughout, she closed up rounding the turn but was run down by the winner in the race down the stretch. I think she may end up needing a bit further than this in the long run, but she is earning her keep and will continue to do so.

3rd Ragnar D J C Racing Stables Juarez N

Stalked the lead but was found wanting when asked to quicken down the stretch. Another decent effort and like the runner continues decent form at this grade and it will only be a matter of time before she picks one up.

4th Jawaher D J C Racing Stables Alvarado F T

Set the race up with Aghast for the closers by taking on the lead throughout and it was no surprise when she faded late. Not a bad effort but she looks a difficult sort to get right.
