AQU Race 2 6F – Dirt

Three Year Olds
Only a field of six three year old fillies has been entered up for this years edition of the Cicada here at Aqueduct. A small field but there are some pretty nice fillies that are going to be trying to win this thing. Let’s take a look at the field.
1. Amaris (8-4-1-1 $92.540), trained by First Street Stables
A four time winner in the field here and she is coming into this race off of two straight wins in a second and third level allowance races at Tampa Bay. She has been handling the allowance ranks easily so it makes sense for her to take a shot here. She could be tough if she keeps the momentum going.
2. Very Brady (4-1-0-0 $30.840), trained by Maletto
Next up in the field here is a filly who has tried two graded stakes races after she won her second career start in a maiden special weight. She was fourth in the Forward Gal and then last in the Davona Dale. She drops in class here so that should give her a better chance in this field.
3. Red Headed Ruler (8-2-3-1 $89.220), trained by TwinTowers Racing
Now onto this filly right here and she will be making a big jump in class here off of an easy win in a non two allowance race at Gulfstream. She won gate to wire easily that day but that was on an off track. If it is rainy she will be very tough to beat.
4. Lady Aurelia (4-1-2-0 $20.120), trained by D J C Racing Stables
Next up here is this filly for the wizard D J C Racing Stables. She won two races ago in a maiden special weight at Turfway. Her last start was a fourth place finish in a first level allowance at Tampa Bay. She will need to step it up quite a bit to win this one.
5. Skygazer (7-2-2-1 $134.800), trained by Rampage Stable
Now to take a look at this filly right here and she is coming into this race off of a second place finish in the Ruthless right over this same track. She usually likes to go out to the lead so if she can open it up in here and slow it down she should have a very good shot to win this.
6. Malagan Girl (9-2-5-0 $99.800), trained by Spankys Barn
Last filly in the field right here and she is coming into this race off of a second place finish against statebred company at Santa Anita. She won a non two allowance race before that and if she improves off of he last couple starts she could have a shot in here.
Summary
A nice field has been entered up for this race here there is not really a standout in here at all. The filly that I think is the one to beat is Skygazer off of the runner up finish in a stakes race in her last start. Good luck to all that are in the field.
