Sophomore ladies will be going the mile and three-eighths marathon distance over the inner Turf course, here at AQU, and we look at the small but talented group in the Jockey Club Oaks (GIII).  The green card says the magic is in the outside posts as Superface Party is their top choice today.  She won the Lake George (GIII) at SAR before just missing in the DMR Oaks (GI), her most recent trip to the starting gate.  I think either of those races gets the job done today, although the distance may not be her favorite.  Right next door, Nurse Hatchet is the second selection… she was third in the ONT Colleen Stakes (GIII) at WO, then just missed in the Lake Placid (GII) at SAR, last out.  Again, a repeat of either seems to say she would be in the middle of things.
