Out to the left coast for Sunday stakes actions for the ladies and we look at the field for the Santa Margarita (GII).  This is a mile and an eighth test on the main track, here in SoCal, and while The Card and I agree in principle, we have slight deviation, and this is a very small field of five.  I’m headed to the rail and will take Jinxed Artist in this one.  She just changed hands as Mo Mentum Farm plunks down $500.000 to acquire the 6yo mare.  She’s fresh off of a runner-up finish in the Santa Maria (GII) over this track and is spotted right back where she can make some nice cash.  She’s only been out twice this season, but did have a pair of wins from five starts last year, so even at 6yo, she shows ten wins from twenty-six starts… it’s a good place to look for number eleven.  I’ll put Devin In High Heels on my tickets… that one fresh off of a win at KEE in the Doubledogdare (GIII), and she also won the Inside Information (GII) at GP to kick-off the season… two wins from three starts… yeah, she can run.  This should be an interesting race, so grab a chilly and let’s get a good spot.
