We stay in NJ and look at the field for The Eatontown Stakes (GIII), a flat mile turf stakes for the ladies. Is there a better story going right now than Rebel Girl? Claimed for just $3.000, she has a win vs stakes company at AQU and a near miss vs. graded gals at BEL… she’s being handled by a conditioner with about twenty starts, so this is a real feel-good story. I’ll give Zola a big shot to be in the middle of this one. She just missed on BC Day as a 2yo, and just seems to be sitting on a huge effort.. and this could be the race she’s been looking for.

Three seasonal starts and she’s still looking for her first trip to the picture booth. Good effort last out to be third vs OptAlw types, but she tired in the FOX (GIII) at GP back in March. Her best would put her in the picture, so she better come prepared.

I think you have to give this one a serious look even though she was last of seven in her most recent. That was a loaded field in the CD Distaff Turf Mile (GII) and it’s a fickle course, so look for her to get back into the groove today.

Great story here as the new barn has done a great job with this one. Tagged for just $3.000 and run back for just $5.000, she won the Plenty Of Grace at AQU then just missed in the Beaugay (GIII) at BEL in her most recent. Look for her to use that tactical speed again today and she should run big.

Only a single win, but she was the runner up in the BC Juv Filly Turf (GI), and has been close in a number of other starts. She just seems like a precocious sort and needs the right spot… could this be just that spot?

Two wins, a second and a third this season after being acquired by Max for $77.000. She’s never been off of the board and no reason to think any different today, other than this is her first trip vs. graded types. Can she handle the raise in class?
