1st So Classy Asgar Beschizza A
It was always going to be hard to be sure who was going to win this race as many of the horses had similar ability, so it just came down to which horse was hitting enough of its targets to come up with a winning algorithm score. This one has been improving somewhat imperceptibly if you look at her form, but she ran faster today to win this race than she has ever completed six furlongs before and that is normally a good sign. It may be the fact that she was hard fit, well drawn, ridden by the tracks best jockey or a combination of those and other things but she ran out a fairly comfortable three-quarter length winner, only her fourth from twenty-two starts. Her consistency speaks volumes and if she continues to improve from this she could be up to graded level.
2nd My Pretty Fractious Hernandez C J
Stalked the lead but didn’t quicken like the winner and that does seem to be an ongoing problem for her in her career. Like the winner though she is consistently producing high speed figures so I am sure she will find a race like this before long.
3rd Furlough Maxmillion Farm Cedillo A
Went out hard and paid the price inside the final furlong, she ran similar splits over five and a half furlongs and managed to hold on that day, but this final half furlong saw her paddling in this race. A fast filly but she needs to learn to save something for the end.
4th Stick Low Luz International Corrales G
Trailed the field and made up some ground and ran probably up to expectations. She found the early pace beyond her but did well at the end suggesting that a seventh furlong may suit her.
