Sod Fairy Squares Off with Mb Duo in The Forward Gal Stakes

The Forward Gal Stakes

7f on Dirt Grade 3

Purse $150.000 For Fillies Three Years Old

Gulfstream Park Hallandale Beach, Florida

Sod Fairy from Nakamura Stables eyeballs five straight Saturday as she takes on a pair of Mb Stables runners and a host of others. The diminutive filly has solid works and an obvious will to win. Plenty of natural gas coupled with grit and a proven record make her the clear horse to beat. Dreambits from Mb Stables also has some gas and given her last dance, she will not be short. This looks like a dogfight. Assyrian Queen from Alabarda Stable is the bomb of the race. “Queen” has shown the ability to close in a race that will most likely be contested hot early. If she can avoid the outside push, she can hit high gear late and surprise several here. Indubita is the other runner from Mb Stables and makes the old turf to dirt switch here. A class and style fit, she punches everybody squarely in the face here if she takes to the surface switch.

Of the rest:

Top Nurse from Our Athletes ran dismal in her first try around two turns during her last start. If you can draw a line through that effort, she draws inside, has zip and sports over $400.000 in earnings. She might only need to break alertly.

Tariff Terror from Pan Farms has done nothing wrong, but I’m not sure that her style fits here with all the other speed. She is physically more developed than some of her dance partners and that could help her late.

Something Aint Right from South Shore Stables could be overlooked at the windows. Perfectly drawn and her style fits big. Add her to all exotic wagers.

Neds Diva from The Sidley Stud looks to be in a tough spot. From the draw and with all the other speed I just can’t see it. Needs to come around horses before I can endorse in a heat like this.

Midnight Hurricane from Aer Stables was purchased for big dollars back in June and has yet to show an indication of a solid return on investment. She is still growing so there is hope but today looks like a pass.

Comanche Women from LionKing Stables is taking a giant shot today, going from a maiden win in her second start to a grade three stakes. The race has dogfight written all over it, so I will have to go with that famous city and El Paso.

Call Me First from Crocker Ggs will come out, settle back and make one late run. Hard to imagine it will be good enough here and the barn and jockey have too many zero’s showing for me to jump onboard the train just yet.

Winter Weather from Blazin D looks to have one shot here and that is to catch a good track, otherwise she appears to be in too deep to endorse.
