1 B N D Fusion Owner: Drabfantasy Gomez E P
He broke his Maiden at LA in July of 2015, and then went on to run on the good surface up at SAR in August the Schenectady where he finished second by a half length after being on the lead throughout. Came up short in the Hopeful Grade I and the Futurity Grade II. Drop in class her today to face this group, should definitely help him along. Hasn’t been out since October, so he makes his 2016 debut. Question some will have is can he get the mile. Time will tell.
2 Prince Majestic Owner: Aml Racing Eikleberry R
He broke his Maiden after three attempts at WO going six furlongs over the main track. Two races later he scores nicely at TUP going six furlongs again in a $15.000 Allowance Non Winners of 1 race. Debuted in 2016 at SA in the Sham Stakes a Grade III event going a mile where this 28 to 1 shot really didn’t show much. Second time at it, comes in freshened up, and giving the mile another go, takes a drop in company and draws a much better post from 10 to 2.
3 Ghost Star Owner: Mb Stables Juarez A J Jr
He broke his Maiden at first asking at GG going five furlongs in May. Then was nosed in his next race at AP going against Non Winners of 1 race. Shipped back to California to face Cal Breds at SAC in Optional Claimer $25.000 Non Winners of 2 going six furlongs where he won by two lengths. His next race was in the Im Smokin Stakes at DMR where he finished second against Cal Breds. From there in October he ran at SA in the Speakeasy Stakes where he also finished second going six furlongs. Owner Lexmax Farms then sold him in November to current owner Mb Stables for $300.000. His first race for his new owner would be at SA in December going 1 1/16 mile on the dirt against Cal Breds in an Optional Claimer Non Winners of 2 races where he wins by 4 lengths. Pretty experienced, but still taking a step up here to face this class.
4 Double Shot Of Jack Owner: Mb Stables Gamez L
At second asking he broke his Maiden at LAD going five furlongs on the main track. His next three races would be bombs of races two were routes and one a sprint. His owner Gdp Inc then sold him to current owner for $125.000. He debuts in 2016 here going 1 1/16 mile on the dirt course in an open Allowance Non Winners of 1 race where he wires the field to win by three lengths. You definitely has an advantage that he has been over the course. I don’t like how big of a step up he is taking, and this might come back to bite me. Owner Mb Stables know how to place his horses, so it will be very interesting.
5 Systematic Owner: Hambletonian Stable Carnero I
After two failed attempts at GG trying to break his Maiden he was claimed for $25.000. He was then switched to the sod where his second race at RP he broke his Maiden. Then shipped to CRC where he raced against Non Winners of 1 race Allowance company going five furlongs on the good sod to win. His last race was in December at SA against Cal Breds in an Optional Claimer $20.000 Non Winners of 2 races where he won by a nose. Today he is stretching out, and also going from sod to dirt. Not a big fan of that switch after having three wins on the sod. I’d look elsewhere.
6 Sweeping Gunga Owner: Witeout Stables Hadley R M
He broke his Maiden in June at first asking at MNR. Then in August he ran in the MNR Juvenile Stakes where he finished 10th. Since then he has tried to be stretched out and kept to sprint, and has not hit the board in his next four races. Recently gelded after his last race at RP which was on December 3rd. Making his 2016 debut, and I don’t see much going for him here. His owner is 0 for 26 thus far this year.
7 Cha Ching Owner: Kingelleinc Nicasio E
Well you can’t complain much here as he is 2 for 2. Broke his Maiden at first asking in October at MNR against Allowance Non Winners of 2 races lifetime. Went on to be stretched out in his next start in December at GG going 1 1/16 mile on the sod against Allowance Non Winners of 1 race where picks up his second win by 2 lengths. I think he definitely can get the distance, but does he really prefer the sod? Nice move up in class for today’s race, but could be your great fit for your exotics.
