1st Sonar, trained by John Henry

Well a huge performance right here from the winner as he came from the clouds to earn a last to first victory here in the Carter Handicap. He was dead last early on and made up seven lengths to win here. He ran the race in a quick time of 1:21.36 and earned $240.000 for his nose victory.

2nd Blurred Return, trained by Spankys Barn

This horse right here also ran a very big race to get up for second and I thought that he had a win in the bag for a split second. It look like he might hang on before the winner came and snatched victory from him right on the line. He ran a very good second though and was only beaten a nose.

3rd Tekkers, trained by Maxmillion Farm

The outside post definitely played against this horse as he had to go to the front from the outside and that is not his preferred running style. He was carving out the fractions early on and ran a very gallant race to hang in for third and he was only beaten a neck when it was all said and done.

4th Harleys Hope, trained by TwinTowers Racing

Final runner on the board right here and he also ran very good race. He was next to last early on and came with a nice closing run down the lane to only end up getting beat a half of a length for the whole thing. He at least earned a little bit of cash and didn’t go home empty handed for his nice run.

Summary

A very exciting edition of this years Carter Handicap for sure as only a neck separated the top three finishers. Sonar the winner came with an electrifying run down the lane to nab the nose victory right in the line from Blurred Return and Tekkers. Congratulations to Sonar and trainer John Henry.
