His last race was at 1 1/16 mile on the dirt course against Optional Claimer $32.000 where he won by a half length.  In his 3 prior Optional Claimers he finished second.  He could improve here to be a true competitor.

2      Howling Wolf                      Owned by Night Rider Stables          Gutierrez M

Comes off a win at this distance at CD against Optional Claimers $80.000 Non Winners of 3 races.  Prior to that he finished third in the Max Gold Cup at today’s distance at HOU in February.  He comes off about 45 days rest so he should be fit and ready to go.  I like him a lot.

3       Morphing Dazzler               Owned by Nakamura Stables          Summers N N

Ran in the Majestic Light Stakes in his last race going a 1 mile 70 yards where he finished sixth.  A step below in an Allowance Non Winners of 1 Race going a mile and a sixteenth on the dirt course, he was able to pick up a win.  I think there are better here.

Two back he won an Allowance against Non Winners of 1 race going 1 1/16 on the dirt course for a purse of $58.600.  Prior to that race he ran for a purse of $7.30 against Non Winners of 2 Races Lifetime.  In that race he finished second by a nose.  So either he was being raced under his true ability at FON or he got lucky at WO.  Choice is yours!

He had a win at today’s distance two back at GP against $35.000 Claimers.  To find his previosu win you have to look last September when he ran in this exact race and won.  Last year that race was only for $100.00, and today it is for $150.000.  I like that he is returning, let’s hope he can get back to his old form at the age of 6.

6      Wichita Delight                   Owned by Sanny Village                            Gomez E P

His last win was at PEN against $25.00 Claimers going today’s distance.  Six days later he was sold for $25.000.  Three back from that win he won a $5.000 Claimer at PEN.  His win prior to that was at MNR against $25.000 Claimers.  I don’t like that he has not won recently against pay racers.  Tough call here.  I will look elsewhere.

Comes off two wins.  His first win was at PEN on May 16, 2014 where he broke his Maiden at 6 furlongs on the dirt.  His next win would come almost 11 months later.  He made his 2015 debut at PIM against Optional Claimers $25.000 Non Winners of 2 Races.  I can see stepping him up today, but this is a big jump considering just his second start in 2015 after 11 months off.

Comes off a win at GG at May against Starter Allowance for a purse of $17.000 at today’s distance.  His last win after this current one would be in the Native Diver Handicap Grade III in November 2014 for a purse of $200.000 at today’s distance.  He certainly likes the distance, and stepping up again to Grade III company.  Could be a good fit here.
