Start The Mummy was sent off as the overwhelming .05/1 favorite in Saturday’s LCD Ladies Sprint, but it took a photograph for the bettors to cash those tickets as Holy Reception set the pace throughout this six furlong dash, but was literally nailed on the wire by the eventual winner.  The Axeman conditioned filly got home in 1:09⁴ over the Fast FG main track.  T Boy Racing just missed cornering the sprint races, but settled for the runner-up spot, with Most Wicked another quarter length back in third as White Out took the fourth spot, another half length off of the show horse. 

Start The Mummy is a gray 4yo filly by Start The Car – Phunny Mummy, by Phuneios, and she was bred in LA by her owner, Axeman.  This was her seventh overall win, two of those coming this season, and she now shows lifetime earnings of $333.430.  Congrats to the Connections!

Start The Mummy stalked the pace throughout, gained through the lane, up in final jump.  Holy Reception set the pace, clear into the lane, caught in the final jump.  Most Wicked taken back off of the pace after the break, continued to trail to the lane, fanned widest for the drive, best foot too late.  White Out ground saving trip, flattened late.
